Sonoma Valley

G'old trees rooted in soil and history. 900 years "mas-o-menos". Forest woods north of El Sausalito.

Abstract photographs a foremost my favorite ones. The 'figure ground' properties of the above image reminds me of bar code labels!

"Mission San Francisco Solano. On July 4, 1823 Padre Jose Altimira founded this northen most of Californian's Franciscan Missions, the only one established under independent Mexico. IN 1884 secularization orders were carried out by 'el comandante' Mariano G. Vallejo. San Francisco Solano became a parish church serving the public and Sonoma Valley until sold in 1881."

California registred historical landmark No. 3 Native Sons of the Golden West 1926.

Images of San Francisco and natural surroundings including: El Sausalito, Sonoma Valley wineries, Kirkwood in Lake Tahoe and Stanford University. December 2009.
