Forecasting Buildscape...
... the art and science of forecasting architectural business health.

My April blog depicts recent thoughts geared towards sustaining the practice of architecture in current turbulent economic climate. The following weather maps are to better equip architectural practices, firms, ateliers, oraganisations, corporations, studios, büros... from the likes of SOM, Renzo Piano, Jean Nouvel or Norman  Foster to much more famous and well known "countless unknown studios" to stabilise their rocking boats!

Keywords:
Architecture innovation, branding, client, economic climate, value of ideas, consulting, organisational psychology, culture, creativity, professional practice, market segmentation, value for money,  communicating cost, business sustainability.

Classical architectural typologies focus on the building as an artifact but there is little to understand the practice of architecture in context both, as an organisation and into the context of business practice. Above map by Charles Jencks.
Charles, H. "understanding organisations". Current literature would not address the problem of design and architectural management. Especially internal organisations and stakeholder management. My work readdresses this issue.
