SURFING MELBOURNE

... A[r]T NIGHT Melbourne is with no doubt a captivating city. I love it for very many reason but above all because it is a true metropolis with the feel of a town. I love being part of this city because this place seems to have room for me ... and as far as I'm concerned this town belongs to me. Most days I walk or cycle to work through the botanical gardens and across the Yarra river from South Yarra. I work in the City Business District most commonly known as the CBD and it is where the action is. On rainy days I catch the tram number 8 from Domain road or can also take any tram along Saint Kilda road - both stops are within 5 minutes walk from my 'castillo'. I am a little concerned. It is now over a year since I haven't enter a run competition. Running has been a constant in my life since the early 90's and my first event took place on the 1st of May 1993 in Guadalajara, Mexico. I am a little concerned because it is the second time I miss it and I wonder if I am loosing my competitive appetite. GOLD: On 10 May, 1993 I enjoyed the taste of victory - for first and only time - in the sports scene. I never won any other sport event since but it was crucial to ...

Of course, I could just not have another dull subject. I had to make it a little special - as you do! ... and with the support of my students, friends, colleagues and industry.... "Industry, Awards and Research Night 2007, 2008 and 2009" Final year research projects in Property, Construction and Project Management 2007 (70 students), 2008 (110 students) and 2009 (210 students). In 2007 the installation took place at one of Melbourne's most emblematic buildings "Federation Square", more specifically at the BMW Edge space which is an amazing "steel and glass box" with a non-lineal structure which resembles a messed-up honeycomb pattern. The building is sitting by the Yarra river which is Melbourne's backbone. Fed Sq complex is literally placed over the numerous rail-tracks coming of Flinders railway station (east side). The complex was designed by LAB Architects and built by Multiplex. It suffered of massive costs overruns but the end result has bee...
